Compute Bottlenecks is a public research surface for the physical supply chain behind the buildout. Here is how the pieces fit together.

Map the chokepoints
We break the sector's physical supply chain into a handful of chokepoints — the links where a few companies own a constraint that the whole buildout has to pass through. Each chokepoint gets a sourced thesis: who owns it, what it would take to compete it away, and what reprices it.

Tag the listed companies
Every chokepoint maps to US-listed names (including ADRs and OTC lines for foreign players). Each company carries a conviction tier — core, watch, or speculative — plus a one-line bull and bear case, so the upside and the risk sit side by side.

Cite every mapping
No source, no mapping. Every company↔chokepoint link points to a public filing, transcript, or trade-press item. Nothing here is proprietary; the edge, if there is one, is in connecting the layers.

Track the catalyst calendar
Export controls, capex prints, design wins, fab ramps, earnings — the repricing schedule is mostly public if you actually look. Catalysts are dated, ranked by importance, and flagged confirmed vs. estimated.

Read the daily brief
Every weekday morning an AI co-pilot reads the prior session's tape across the names in the book, computes the leader and laggard, and writes a short brief on what moved, why, and what's next — grounded in the same research map.
Conviction tiers
- core
- Direct, dominant exposure to the chokepoint with a real, ownable listed surface.
- watch
- Real exposure, but diluted inside a larger business or reached only indirectly.
- speculative
- Thin, early, or thesis-dependent — a thin OTC line or an unproven ramp.
What this is not
Tiers are editorial conviction, not ratings; the map is not a portfolio and contains no positioning or trade recommendations. Quotes may be delayed, and private companies show their listed exposure vehicles rather than a tradable quote. Always do your own work.
